The RS 42 compound from Pagid Racing is a medium-friction racing material designed for rallying, small formula cars and touring applications. It features a low-metal resin bonded formula containing steel and aramid fibres, delivering excellent cold-friction response and a modest initial bite, ideal when quick bed-in and predictable feel are needed. Thanks to its balanced characteristics of good modulation, solid disc life and reduced drag, the RS 42 suits high-use competition where consistency and control matter more than maximum bite. While this compound has been replaced in most applications and if your preferred pad shape is no longer available, we recommend the RSL19 pads as a suitable alternative.
