The RS 42 compound from Pagid Racing is a medium-friction racing material designed for rallying, small formula cars and touring applications. It features a low-metal resin bonded formula containing steel and aramid fibres, delivering excellent cold-friction response and a modest initial bite, ideal when quick bed-in and predictable feel are needed. Thanks to its balanced characteristics of good modulation, solid disc life and reduced drag, the RS 42 suits high-use competition where consistency and control matter more than maximum bite. Whether you’re running club racing, touring car duties or formula-class entries, the RS 42 is a strong choice when you want dependable braking, proven materials and race-bred pedigree. While this compound has been replaced in most applications and if your preferred pad shape is no longer available, we recommend the RSL19 pads as a suitable alternative.
